Brian Lord

Brian Lord

Senior Pastor

Brian Lord grew up in San Diego, where he attended San Diego Christian College, receiving a BA in Biblical Exposition. He then moved to Kentucky, where he met his wife Jennifer as he pursued his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.

He has been in ministry for more than 26 years, from California to Texas and Kentucky, and now here in Princeton. Along the way, he has been Pastoring in youth, young adults, Church Planting and as a Senior Pastor.

Brian has 4 wonderful children. His hobbies are movies and football, and he is a die-hard Chargers fan. He loves to be outside and competing in Triathlons, hiking and enjoying life with his family. His favorite foods are authentic Mexican food, pizza and top level ribeye steaks, and anything his wife makes.

His life verse is Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

Bridget Van Den Bussche

Office Manager

Bridget joined the staff at Christ Community Church in December of 2020 and looks forward to serving the church family. She and her husband, Dave, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Together, they have three wonderful adult children. Bridget taught German in the public schools for many years before making the decision to stay home and raise her family. She then went back to teaching for a few years, holding various positions at a local Christian school. Bridget and her husband enjoy traveling to new places and spending precious time with their children. She also enjoys reading and spending time with friends.

Deb Ward

Children's Ministry Coordinator

Deb has recently retired from her career as an elementary school teacher. She is looking forward to sharing God’s love with the children of CCC and their families. She enjoys reading, sewing, completing jigsaw puzzles, and time with her friends. Deb treasures the time spent with her three grown children, their spouses, and her five grandchildren. She also helps coordinate the Operation Christmas Child Program at Christ Community Church.

Dane Stier

Worship Director

Dane joined the staff as Worship Director in the fall of 2021. A native of Princeton, he has been playing music in a variety of forms since he was 9 years old. From marching band and classical music, to classic rock covers, to Irish folk/rock, Dane loves being able to put his musical experiences to work in praising God.

Dane and his wife, Kelsey, and two sons fell in love with the sense of community at CCC when they first visited in 2018. In their spare time, Dane loves watching old movies, listening to old records on vinyl, and refinishing antique furniture.

In addition to worship, Dane also manages the church’s website and social media presence.

Sheila Johnsen

Sheila Johnsen

Worship Assistant

Sheila is assistant to our Worship Director.  She helps select music for worship on Sundays, plays piano and helps the worship team practice on Wednesday nights.  Sheila has played the piano at Christ community Church for over 37 years. She grew up on a farm one half mile north of Wyanet and is the assistant librarian at the Raymond A. Sapp library in Wyanet.  Reading is a life long love of Sheila as well as music, nature and going to the movies. Her family consists of two daughters, the oldest is Heidi who is married and has three children, while her younger daughter, Lyndsey, is in social work.

Meg Murphey

Counselor

Meg Murphey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Path of Life Counseling at Christ Community Church.  Meg obtained her bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Family Social Services and her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College graduate school.  She has worked in residential, hospital and outpatient settings.  She received her passion for counseling during the seven years she spent with Youth With A Mission when God began healing her emotional wounds.   Meg’s heart’s desire is for Christians to experience the reality of God’s grace and truth so they might live an abundant life of peace and joy in Christ.  She is married to her wonderful husband Scott and enjoys swimming, walking, reading, writing, gardening, decorating and traveling.  

Tracey Franklin

Tracey Franklin

Church Custodian

Tracey has been the custodian of Christ Community Church since 2011. She and her husband, Harlan, will be celebrating 30 years of marriage this year. They have four children and four grandchildren. Tracey is also a Pom Mom of two Pomeranians. She is grateful to have been a stay-at-home mom and to have been a childcare giver for over 25 years. She enjoys watching tv, going to movies, playing games, and going for walks. Tracey also loves spending time with her family and sleepovers with her grandchildren.
